Detergent for diesel particulate filters (DPF) in an aerosol. Soot filters are in most cars today, except for the oldest ones. Many new cars have so-called Start/Stop technology, which kills the car at lights, etc. this includes filters and sensor equipment sooner than otherwise. The DPF cleaner helps clean accumulated soot and ash particles.
Instructions
(Note that DPF Cleaner is intended for professionals, mechanical and automotive mechanics.)
- The engine should be below 50°C, if it is at operating temperature allow it to cool down
- Remove heat or pressure sensor
- Shake the bottle well, insert the supplied tube/hose through the hole where the sensor was
- Empty the entire can into one filter in 3-4 shots and allow the DPF cleaner to sit for 5-10 seconds between shots
- Start the engine and let it run for 15 minutes and then drive for 30 minutes. When driving, steam may form from the exhaust pipe, but this is completely normal.
